Kari is a graduate B Pony Clubber and earned a BS in Animal Science from Clemson University in 1987. She competed through Intermediate Level in Combined Training and has coached riders through the Preliminary Level in USEA competitions. Having started her career as a riding instructor in the early 1980’s, she has taught and trained many riders from the beginner level through competing at recognized Horse Trials and Dressage Shows. Not only having experience in Combined Training, Kari has also coached and trained horses that qualified and competed at the AQHA World Championship Horse Show in Oklahoma City, OK. Along with her coaching and training experience, Kari was active in Pony Club for many years as a District Commissioner of Anderson Foothills Pony Club, Vice-Regional Supervisor of the Carolina Region, C-3 Examiner in the Carolina Region and a horse management judge at Regional and National Rallies.

In 2000, Kari returned to Clemson University and served as the Manager of the Clemson University Equine Center until 2009 when she moved into a position in the Administrative Department for the Research Farm Services at Clemson University.

In October of 2014, Kari returned to Twin Tree Farm Full-Time.

Now, back in the saddle @ TTF, Kari is happy the Riding School of TTF which was well known the 1980’s and 90’s has returned full force. There are several young riders who are the children of original riders from the old Riding School.

Kari is enjoying all the riders, young and old, who are currently in the riding school. There is an eclectic group ranging from Beginners of all ages to Competitive riders and Adult Amateurs having fun.

Kari is now experiencing her goal for the Barn @ Twin Tree Farm

It is now a place where Children, Adults and

Especially Horses, have Fun and Safe riding experiences.
